Do a quick SWOT analysis for your candidate. What are his/her major strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats? How did the campaign try to highlight and/or conceal these issues throughout the campaign?
Secondly, describe the issue positions of your candidate. What issues do you think your candidate highlighted most? What issues should they have highlighted in 2016? What are they running on? What issues are focal?
Finally, discuss your candidate's campaign team. You don't have to know who everyone is, but based on your knowledge of the campaign and the functions of the campaign team members, give a little information on 2-3 of the key players in the campaign. Feel free to include brief career/biographical information. How did they get connected to your candidate? What is their relationship? Why do you think your candidate trusts and wants to work with them?
Your blog posts should be approx. 500 words. They should include links, images, multimedia, etc. More information is provided in an assignment sheet on Blackboard.

ReplyDeleteI found your blog to be very well written and very insightful. I hadn't thought of Trump as being so appealing to an older crowd because of his "make America great again" slogan. This was a really good point.I also really used the gif you used. As far as the people crucial to Trump's campaign, I think you did really well in summarizing their background and why they are crucial.

ReplyDeleteA common theme after reading other Trump blog posts about Donald Trumps S.W.O.T. analysis is that his business experience would be helpful for him as a political candidate. Along with the other people I agree that his business experience will pay off down the road for him as the 45th president of the United States. With that being said, he needs to use his business sense sensibly and not be irrational which Trump tends to do. It is only a matter of a time when we see how his business background will payout during his four years as president. So far, not so good.

ReplyDeleteI also used Trump for my SWOT analysis. I liked how your approach was different than mine in that you used some humor. I found the picture you used to be pretty funny. I liked the way you laid out each point of the swot analysis and I totally agree that Trump is not the most cautious person when he speaks.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I would like to know how you changed the background for your blog. I liked that. Also, I agreed with many of your talking points and shared so many of your views for the swot analysis. I agree that Trump is a little too uncensored for his own good and I agree that he is definitely a threat to himself.
